Site terms

Using this site: the terms

This page sets out the terms on which you read Dolphin Treasure Guide. It covers where the numbers come from, what the paid placement means, and the limits on what this site can do for you.

How we source our numbers

The figures on this site are published figures. Our editorial desk re-reads them on a date shown alongside the material and records them as found. Return figures for pokies are long-run averages published by the game's maker; they describe the game over a very large number of spins and say nothing about what any one session will do. A session can lose, and often does.

Operators change their terms, bonus structures and published figures without notice to us. By the time you read a page, a figure may already be out of date at the operator. Treat what you read here as a record of what was published when we looked, and check the operator's own terms before you rely on anything. We do not guarantee that any figure on this site is current.

General information, not financial or legal advice

Nothing on this site is financial advice, legal advice or a recommendation to gamble. We do not know your circumstances, your income or your obligations, and we are not in a position to advise you on any of them. Where a page describes a bonus, a wagering requirement or a return figure, it is describing what is published, not telling you that the offer suits you.

If you are unsure about the tax treatment of winnings, the legality of an operator where you live, or a contract term you are being asked to accept, take advice from someone qualified to give it. Gambling involves money that can be lost. Set a limit before you start, and do not treat any figure on this site as a reason to spend more.

Paid placement and who is responsible

Some links on this site are paid placement, and we disclose that where it appears. A commercial arrangement affects where a link sits and whether an operator is mentioned; it does not change the figures we re-read or the way we describe a published term. Our partner is the operator we have a commercial relationship with, and it is referred to on this site only as our partner.

This site is for adults. You must be 18 or over to use it. What you may legally do, and which operators you may use, is decided by the law where you are, not by anything written here. If a page describes an offer that is not available to you where you live, it is still only a description. It is not an invitation, and reading it does not make the activity lawful for you. Use of this site is at your own risk.

Questions

The figure on this page looks different from the operator's site. Which one is right?

The operator's own published terms always govern. We record figures as they were published when we looked, and we show the date we re-read them; the operator may have changed them since.

Does the paid placement affect what this site says about a bonus?

Commercial arrangements affect placement and whether an operator is mentioned, not the description of a published term. We disclose the arrangement where it applies, and we do not name any operator other than as our partner.
